Who is in Control of Your Life?

Could it be God?

Everyone wants a good life—a life filled with purpose, joy, friendship, family, and peace. Yet many people find themselves struggling through the chaos of this world. When life becomes difficult, it is common to hear questions like:

"If God is real, why does He allow so much suffering?"

"Why doesn't God step in and stop all the evil in the world?"

"Why does God seem like a spectator watching from heaven?"

These are honest questions. But to understand the answer, we must first understand what I callGod's Rules of Engagement for Life on Earth.

God is the Creator and Designer of all things. Nothing exists without His purpose. He has a plan for humanity and a purpose for every life. The problem is that most people never learn God's plan or choose not to follow it. When our lives move in the opposite direction of God's design, conflict, frustration, and disappointment are often the result.

God's First Rule of Engagement: Free Will

One of the greatest gifts God has given us isfree will.

We are not robots programmed to obey. God created us with the ability to choose. Every decision we make—good or bad—is ultimately ours.

Scripture tells us:

"You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet."
— Psalm 8:6

God has entrusted humanity with responsibility and authority over His creation. This means that while God remains sovereign, He allows us the freedom to make our own choices.

So who is in control of your life?

You are.

And that is both a tremendous gift and a tremendous responsibility.

Consider this: there are billions of people on Earth, each making decisions based on their own desires, ambitions, fears, and interests. When human selfishness combines with free will, the result is often conflict, injustice, suffering, and brokenness.

The chaos we see in the world is not evidence that God has abandoned humanity. It is often the result of humanity choosing its own way instead of God's way.

The Warrior's Choice

This is why becoming aWarrior in Christis so important.

A Warrior in Christ understands that true freedom is not found in doing whatever we want. True freedom is found in aligning our lives with God's purpose.

When we surrender our plans to God, follow His principles, and pursue Christ-like character, we begin to experience the life we were created to live. It does not mean life becomes easy, but it does mean we walk with purpose, strength, and direction.

God desires great things for your life. He wants you to discover your gifts, fulfill your purpose, and become the person He created you to be.

But first, you must answer one question:

Who is really in control of your life—God or you?

Your Mission This Week

Take five minutes each day to ask yourself:

• What decisions am I making without seeking God's guidance?
• Where am I resisting God's direction?
• What would change if I fully trusted Him with every area of my life?

Pray and ask God to reveal the areas of your life that are not yet surrendered to Him.

The journey of a Warrior in Christ begins with one act of courage:

Giving God control.
